The PowerDent Pulse Multi™ uses patented Pulse technology to blast away plaque, debris, stains and tartar from your oral appliances. Its unique design ensures that all surfaces of your oral appliance, even the hard-to-reach grooves, are powerfully brushed every day. Keeping your oral appliance this clean means healthier gums and fresher breath. It also keeps unsightly stains from forming, keeping your oral appliance—and your smile—looking it's whitest and brightest.
The PowerDent Pulse™ was invented and designed by a team of dental specialists with more than 40 years of experience between them! Jim Harrison, a denturist with over 20 years in practice and over ten thousand dentures to his name, John Miller, a dentist who has provided countless mouthguards and aligners to his patients over his 10 years in practice, and Ali Khonsari, a dental laboratory owner and manufacturer of superior appliances with over 10 years of experience.
The PowerDent Pulse Multi™ brush is the brainchild of Dr. John Miller. Having delivered countless oral appliances to patients including bleaching trays, sportsguards, grinding appliances, orthodontic aligners and retainers, Dr. Miller kept seeing and hearing patients complain about how dirty their appliances would become and how they could not keep them clean. His patients would recall suffering from bad breath while wearing their unhygienic appliances and how embarrassed they were to wear them after they had become stained. Thus came the idea of the PowerDent Pulse Multi™ brush for oral appliances.
WON'T A REGULAR TOOTH BRUSH DO THE JOB?
No. A regular tooth brush is designed to brush teeth and gums in your mouth. The bristles have to be soft enough to be gentle on your gums and teeth and short enough to fit between your teeth and cheeks. These short, soft bristles are not designed for appliances. They don't reach down into the deep grooves and are too soft to effectively clean all surfaces—especially hard-to-reach ones.
Power tooth brushes are really no different. They're just not designed for appliances; they are designed for teeth and gums.
The PowerDent Pulse Multi™ is used OUTSIDE OF THE MOUTH, with the appliance in your hand. The brush does all of the work for you. Just hold it to the appliance and feel the rapid pulsating action of the brush as it blasts away stains and debris.
IS IT EASY TO USE?
It is the easiest way to thoroughly and completely clean your appliance. If appliances aren't thoroughly cleaned, plaque and debris can remain in deep grooves. Over time this plaque turns into hard calcified tartar and becomes even harder to clean. PowerDent Pulse Multi™ thoroughly deep cleans your appliance—every day—disrupting this cycle and inhibiting tartar build-up. Simply turn it on and hold it to the oral appliance's surface. The brush does all of the work.
ORAL CARE FOR APPLIANCES
Oral appliances are a significant and costly investment. Many are custom made, just for you, using the most modern materials and techniques. Your appliances provide different functions, protective and aesthetic. Oral appliances 'live' in the mouth and can be subject to most of the stresses and strains, plaques and stains, that natural teeth are subject to.
Within a matter of minutes in the mouth a microscopic 'biofilm' begins to accumulate on the surfaces of the appliance. This film, over time, accumulates and matures into bacterial plaque. Plaque is a visible sticky while film that coats the appliance (as it does natural teeth and gums). Plaque, if not mechanically removed on a daily basis, will eventually become calcified by the minerals in your saliva and turn into hard and tenacious tartar (calculus). These are also stains and food debris that may become lodged in the tiny crevices of the appliance. To adequately remove all of the adhered films and plaques on the appliance, it is best to follow the principles of cleaning: The surface must be brushed as well as flushed!
Simple Analogies...
- You wouldn't mop the floor without sweeping it!
- You wouldn't just rinse your mouth instead of brushing!
Appliances must be properly brushed in order to be thoroughly clean!
Only the PowerDent Pulse Multi™ has the power to do the job right!
PROPER APPLIANCE CARE
- Hold the appliance over a basin with some water in it.
- Run the appliance under water (not too hot).
- Turn the PowerDent Pulse Multi™ on and hold to all surfaces of the appliance and continue to brush (90 seconds).
- Rinse appliance thoroughly under running water before putting back in mouth.
DO NOT use the PowerDent Pulse Multi™ in the mouth. Always brush appliance while holding them in your hand.
